Hola hermanos(as) Latinos y Felicidades en las Navidades.
Estoy buscando la receta para preparar Maizena (cremita de desayuno)como nuestras madres y abuelas preparaban.I really need this recipe.My Mom has alzheimers and its one of the few things she remembers and asks me for.I want to please her before she forgets this too. Thanks,and God Bless You All.

Mi mama hacia Maizena con Corn Starch, milk, sugar and a pinch of salt. She said you make it, basically, like you would arena de maiz or avena but with the maizena you can't stop turning it until it thickens or it'll get pelotitas in it. Hoped this helped you some!

I have made maizena with corn starch and an egg yolk mixed together and then added to milk, vanilla, sugar, and a pinch of salt that is already warming in a pan. Add this all together and wait for it to thicken. I love it with a little cinnamon on top. This recipe is from my husband's abuelita. I hope you are still looking and if you are that this might helpful too.

Gracias, I haven't eaten this since I was a kid, but I'm going through chemo now and I've been craving Crema to ease my stomach. I had some this morning, following the receipe and I was in heaven. I better buy some more cornstarch.

Yo preparo maizena como mi papa la hacia... no tengo mediduras exacta haci somos los Puertoriquenos! :) un poquito de sal, leche, vainilla, azucar, un poco juguito de limon, y dos o tres cascaritas de limon. Primero pon la leche, vainilla, sal, jugo limon, y las cascaritas a hervir. En otro plato hondo mezcla la maizena y mas leche pero trata de hacer esto cuando ya los ingredientes esten hirviendo para que no se siente la mezcla. Volviendo los ingredientes mientras vallas hechando la maizena y continuar hasta que espese. Ponerlo en platos hondos con canela por ensima y wala!! :) muy rico a mi hija y hijo le fazina.
