1 1/2 cp. cornmeal
1 1/2 cp. water
1 1/2 cp. milk
3 tbsp. butter
3/4 tsp. salt
sugar to taste
In a saucepan, bring the water, milk, butter, sugar* and salt to a boil.

Remove the saucepan from the stove and gradually add the cornmeal, whisking and stirring constantly.

Place the saucepan back on the stove and cook the funche on medium-low heat until it thickens.

Funche can be served in one of two ways. Pour it into a bowl and top it off with your favorite fruit or you can pour it into a greased pan, let it cool and slice into pieces.
You can add more sugar or milk if you like. Try using "Sweet and Low" for those who can't have sugar.

Add your favorite fruit to make it yummier.
